Arenas, Barn, Pads

Construction of barns and other structural pads is very similar to constructing a residential house pad.  Based on the blueprints, engineer’s report and other factors, the process includes scraping away a designated amount of topsoil, called spoils, from the entire surface area of the pad.  Next, truckloads of select fill are brought in and compressed into lifts 4” to 6” tall.  Compaction tests are taken on each lift to insure they are in compliance and that the end result will support the intended structure.

Arenas range from small open structures with clay and/or sandy bases to large, closed in, air conditioned, showrooms with interchangeable subflooring to fit every venue.  Llewellyn’s Construction is well versed on the details that are necessary to personalize each arena to their owner’s intentions.   Knowing which aggregate base is best suited for different venues, and the spacing required for barrel riders, are a few of the small details that are not overlooked by John and his crew.  This attention to details insures our customers that their finished product will be exactly what they envisioned and something they will appreciate for many years to come.
