We achieve this by meeting with each customer at the project site to assess first hand, the true feasibility, practicality and most importantly, the unique attributes that each parcel of land offers its' owners.   This enables us the ability to make cost saving suggestions and professional recommendations, which ultimately produces a finished oasis that saves our customers time and money.

Methods:

100_4507The method of land clearing  used for a project is determined by taking into consideration the desired outcome, proposed budget, time allotment, government and/or neighborhood regulations and the actual condition and size of the property.   There are times, however, when a property is so densely covered with vegetation that a comprehensive evaluation is impossible to achieve.  When it is important to save as many trees as possible, this dilemma can be easily resolved by using a Hydro-Axe Mulcher to clear the land.  This environmentally conscious procedure will turn the unwanted vegetation into mulch and open up the property so a proper appraisal of the lands potential assets can be identified and maximized to the fullest.

1003020Traditionally, the method most commonly used in clearing land incorporates the use of heavy machinery, Based on the scope of work to be preformed, the equipment used to get the job done could include dozers, excavators, dump trucks and/or backhoes.  These pieces of equipment are used to remove vegetation/underbrush, extract entire trees including the rootballs, dig out existing tree stumps, re-distribute soils/dirt to maximize the property's value, construct house pads and any other function related to the excavation of land.  The main reason the use of heavy equipment is so popular is directly related to the speed, proficiency and quality of work produced using this method as compared to other.

No matter which method is used to complete a project, the end result should fulfill the landowners objectives, meet all expectations and ultimately increase the value of the property.   Llewellyn's Construction has the expertise, experience and equipment required to professionally preform any scope of land clearing and excavating work imaginable.  Contact us for a free consultation and let us show you the the possibilities and value we can add to your property.

Debris Disposal:

The disposal of unwanted debris can be resolved through various means.  Many neighborhoods and communities have restrictions limiting the options which are approved for disposal.  It is very important for anyone considering having work done on their property, to become informed.  Contacts should include all government (local and state) agencies which have jurisdiction over your area, Home Owners Association representatives (if applicable) and any agency that could require special permitting or have stipulations that may affect your property and the accepted method(s) of disposal.  We consider it our responsibility to keep on top of these issues and together, we will determine the most cost effective means to remove your debris, while taking all these factors into consideration.

If permitted, the most cost effective but also most regulated method of debris removal is trench burning.  This process requires adherence of specific guidelines which vary depending on location, property size and the governing entities.  This process may also require the land owners' participation to maintain compliance during the actual burn.

40-ft-container-for-debris-haul-offA method of debris disposal, commonly recommended for smaller land parcels and widely preferred by most regulatory agencies, is the use of 40ft. roll-off containers.  These containers are left on the property and debris is loaded using an Excavator.   Our experienced operators know how to fill every square inch of a container with debris, giving you the most value for your dollar.  Once a container is filled to capacity, it is removed from the property.  This process is repeated until the desired amount of debris has been removed.

An alternative to removing the debris from the property is to push it into large piles and over time the piles will decompose, substantially reducing the remaining debris to a more manageable amount.  This method can lower the cost of removing the debris because there is not as much left to haul off.  However, this process can also greatly reduce, if not stop, any future progress towards property improvement while waiting for the debris pile(s) to shrink into manageable sizes.
